Global Kids' Digital Media Initiative

So today we launched Global Kids' second island in the teen grid. Very exciting. Hurrah hurrah. Nothing there of course, just the basic template, but still pretty exciting. The start of so many amazing experiences which we can't even predict at this time. The first GK island was the same - begun with one purpose in mind that then develop and blossomed into so many different things, for so many people (over 4,000 so far, from mid-Feb through the beginning of July).

The upcoming Machinima program will use it. The Global Kids Leaders making games in Second Life will use it. The new after school program in SL will use it. And who knows who else.

But BEFORE everyone else, Camp GK will use it - to reveal their action based on their work this summer in the camp (I won't say anything and give it away).

All that is there right now, pretty much, are these doves that Brooke made. Rafi recommended I get on one and take a ride. How could I resist!

So, behind me, you can see the volcano on the first Global Kids island - one island seen from the other! Our baby is growing!
